Rain oh mighty.
I’ve been getting a little sick of the gray existence that is the Willamette Valley.
I mean, it started about 5 years ago, but boy I’m serious now about being over it.
The thing is, I feel like the rain “problem” is similar to say, a weight problem:
If I decide I want to change it, it will be fixed!
Well I’m no weather man, I have no rain dance, and I’m hardly in the mood
to learn some black magic which will make the sun come out.
I just think that the weather
has gone too far this time.
It’s gone too far into the spring, and has proceeded to play dirty.
Yes, the cow is adorable...but I'm still pretty upset about this.
Cancelling Easter Egg Hunts? Really rain, really?
Where does it stop?
Are you going to do away with fireworks this year for the 4th of July too?
Think of the children!
It’s just my luck that the only climate change I might see is the increase of gray skies.
I think I’ll watch a little It’s Always Sunny… and pout.
I’m feeling the blues of winter.
And frankly, it’s more of a shade of gray.
(Which–have you seen the movie The Gray? It’s wonderfully done and wildly depressing. You’ve been warned.)
So I’m setting my sites forward and getting very excited for a Valentine inspired craft day I have coming up.
But really, my creativity doesn’t extend farther than painting my nails.
That’s a craft, right?
No, it’s not.
Anywho! My lack of genuine creativity has led me to none-other-than:
Pinterest! to find the perfect activity.
What are you getting your loved one, anyway?
I low-key adore the homemade headbands and cloth button earrings,
but I’m not sure my boo will share the same sentiments.
I mean, you never know, but I will probably just play it safe and gift him some red wine.
And because, I really can’t think of a better way to fight off the doldrums of winter than with bright colors, candy & romance:
Mmmmmmmm, love is in the air.
My love for sparkly, pink and eccentrically feminine things, at least.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hopefully I’ve indulged your sweet.tooth for valentine’s sentiments. Now, get out there and get to romancing. Xox.
